The CPV and PT share common interests in development, social justice, living standards, national independence and sovereignty, and international solidarity, and their ties have thrived in recent years.

The August Revolution of 1945 marked a historic victory for the Vietnamese people, ending colonial and feudal rule and paving the way for the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam. These archival photographs trace the revolutionary movement from the founding of the Communist Party of Việt Nam to the struggle to consolidate the newly established government.
