National Assembly Chairman Vương Đình Huệ and Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolai Denkov have agreed to revitalise traditional areas of cooperation such as agriculture, food processing, pharmaceuticals while also opening up new and promising fields of collaboration such as green and digital transformation, artificial intelligence and just energy transition.

The leaders agreed on the importance of reconciling economic growth, social development, and environment protection, which encompasses issues such as energy security and food and nutritional security.

Secretary-General of the  Permanent Court of Arbitration Marcin Czepelak said that the court will create favourable conditions for Việt Nam to participate in training courses and work at the PCA.

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính said that since the diplomatic relations were set up nearly 35 years ago, both nations have enjoyed robust ties, which have been intensified and developed into a deep, stable, effective and sustainable fashion.

The leaders were unanimous in fostering ties in new areas of common interest. They highly valued the important documents relevant to diplomacy, education - training, defence, and agriculture signed during this visit.

President Thưởng proposed that the two countries continue to coordinate closely to further enhance their comprehensive cooperation relationship, which could be achieved through high-level agreements and existing cooperation mechanisms to maximise the positive results of dialogue and collaboration between the two sides and promote parliamentary diplomacy and people-to-people exchanges.

Hà Nội suggested promoting the mechanism to periodically review cooperation between Việt Nam and Guangdong, increasing all-level delegation exchanges between Guangdong and Vietnamese localities under various formats, and stepping up the exchange of experience in Party building and socio-economic development.

Former president Giorgio Napolitano passed away on September 22 in Rome at the age of 98.

A Cuban high-level delegation headed by President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez on September 25 visited the Việt Nam-Cuba friendship hospital in the central province of Quảng Bình's Đồng Hới City, which was built in 1973 following then President Fidel Castro's visit to the region.

Leading the New Zealand delegation, Commander of the Joint Forces New Zealand Rear Admiral James Gilmour said the visit follows a successful trip to his country by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyễn Tân Cương, Chief of the General Staff of the Việt Nam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence, in July 2023.
