INS Sudarshini is a sail training ship that is 54m in length and 8.5m in width. Since being commissioned in 2012, the INS Sudarshini has made voyages to different foreign ports including those of ASEAN countries, becoming one of the symbols of the Indian navy in promoting friendship and maritime cooperation with friendly foreign countries.

On the occasion, President Thưởng conveyed the invitation to visit Việt Nam from Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính to Hun Manet, and the Cambodian leader accepted it with pleasure.

The NA leader took this occasion to thank and ask Algeria to create conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate into and contribute to the local society and serve as a bridge of friendship between the countries.

The PM’s visit to Saudi Arabia and his attendance at the summit, which runs from October 18-20, will help consolidate political trust and deepen multi-faceted cooperation.

Vietnamese defence minister invited leaders of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence and army to the second Việt Nam International Defence Expo and celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Việt Nam People’s Army next year.

PM Chính wished that the two armies would take the lead in nurturing Việt Nam-Cambodia relations and stepping up cooperation across the board, including personnel training, sharing of information and experience to effectively address long-standing or emerging issues at the grassroots level.

President Thưởng took the occasion to extend an invitation to President Putin to visit Việt Nam in the near future, which he accepted with pleasure.

The NA finance-budget committee required the government to submit a specific report on the remaining amount and clarify the disbursement feasibility during this year.

The two countries' leaders discussed the potential for new cooperation areas, such as digital transformation, green energy, and infrastructure development.

Việt Nam has attached much importance to its friendly neighbourliness, and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China, seeing this as a top priority in the country’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralisation and diversification

President Võ Văn Thưởng's attendance at the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing from October 17-20 is of great significance in both bilateral and multilateral aspects, Permanent Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyễn Minh Vũ has told the press.

It is forecast that in 2023, Việt Nam’s GDP growth will exceed 5 per cent, while trade surplus will reach approximately US$15 billion.
