The capital city of Hà Nội recorded 2,801 COVID-19 infections on Monday, as Việt Nam posted a daily rise of 14,362 cases.
In the two years since Việt Nam's first confirmed COVID-19 patient the country has recorded more than 2.1 million infections, as the Ministry of Health announces another 14,978 new cases.

Việt Nam confirmed a total of 15,707 new COVID-19 patients on Saturday, raising the total number to 2,126,444.
A total of 15,935 new COVID-19 patients were reported in Việt Nam on Friday, raising the total number to 2,110,737.
The Ministry of Health is planning to purchase 21.9 million doses of Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines to give to children aged 5-11 years, with scenarios of surplus vaccines likely and accepted.
