ĐỒNG NAI — Đồng Phú Ward in Đồng Nai City is expanding mobile public services to help residents access administrative procedures and digital services more conveniently.

These efforts are in line with the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No 57, issued in December 2024, which aims to promote breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

The Đồng Phú Ward Public Administrative Service Centre has set up mobile public services points in residential areas, bringing administrative procedures and digital assistance closer to residents following the implementation of the two-tier local government system in July 2025.

Mobile public services are available in all residential areas from May 31 to December 31, 2026, from 7.30am to 11.30am on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

Officials provide guidance and process administrative procedures related to land, agriculture and environment, economic affairs, infrastructure and urban development, justice and civil status, culture and social affairs, and education and training.

Residents can also receive support with permanent and temporary residence registration, installing and using the VNeID electronic identification app, submitting online applications and making online payments.

The services are also aimed at people who have difficulty travelling to the centre or accessing digital technology.

Ngô Sỹ Quyền, deputy director of the centre, said staff visit elderly and sick residents who are unable to travel to help them complete procedures, including filling in forms and submitting applications online.

The results are then sent or delivered to their homes, he said.

“Through this model, the centre aims to better meet residents’ needs by shifting from a management model to a service model that puts people at the centre.”

Members of the ward Youth Union are also supporting the initiative.

Under the 2026 “Digital Summer” Campaign, the ward Youth Union's “Digital Literacy for All” team works with the mobile public service team at residential cultural houses on the second and fourth Sunday mornings each month.

The volunteers help residents fill in forms, submit applications through the Public Service Portal, install and use digital applications, and learn basic digital skills.

They also visit elderly people, policy beneficiary families and others who have difficulty travelling.

Nguyễn Văn Hưng, a resident of Tân Long Residential Area, said: “The youth union members are very knowledgeable about technology.

“We elderly people are not proficient in IT, but they provide enthusiastic and thoughtful assistance and explain everything carefully. I am very satisfied.”

Lê Trung Đức, secretary of the ward Youth Union’s Party and Government Affairs Block, said the ward Youth Union considers administrative reform and digital transformation two key tasks and opportunities for young people to demonstrate their pioneering role.

Every mobile service session and home visit gives young people a chance to improve their skills and strengthen their sense of responsibility to the community, he said.

“Seeing the joy and satisfaction of local residents is the greatest motivation for us to maintain and expand the model, contributing to a friendly, modern, transparent and effective administration that is committed to serving the people,” he said. — VNS
