The PM met President and Chief Executive Officer of The Boston Consulting Group Hans-Paul Bürkner, staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, and members of the Vietnamese community yesterday.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Đỗ Hùng Việt emphasised that relations between Việt Nam and the two countries the PM will visit are based on many similarities in politics, economy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

The diplomat pledged to cooperate closely with the group as well as the National Congress in organising more meaningful activities in order to bring the bilateral relationship to a new height.

The Vietnamese embassy in Turkey said it has contacted local authorities to find out if there were Vietnamese victims in the earthquake.

To industrialise, it plans to build roads to connect with neighbouring Đồng Nai and other provinces in the southern region.

The visits will take place from February 8-11.

The region consists of coastal provinces and a network of deep-water seaports and airports, which are considered the strengths for its development.
