HÀ NỘI — Before the first engine even roars to life, the annual Vietnam Offroad PVOIL Cup (VOC) has already broken records, gearing up once again to become a high-octane festival for drivers and thousands of spectators.

The 2025 season, running from October 31 to November 2 at Hà Nội’s Việt Nam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, will feature 24 racetracks — a significant increase from last year’s 14 — marking the highest number in the event’s 18-year history.

Entries in each category have grown by 1.5 to two times, with nearly 700 performances expected. Notably, the legendary Adventure Night Race will make its comeback after a two-year hiatus.

The opening ceremony will take place on November 1, followed by the awarding and closing ceremony on November 2

108 S.O.C WOLVER is the Professional Category champion of the PVOIL VOC 2024.

The organising committee revealed that as many as 140 athletes from 70 teams have registered to take part in the race’s four categories: Professional, Advanced SUV, Advanced Pickup and Basic.

For the first time in its history, due to the increase in tests, drivers in all categories will compete continuously throughout the three days. Athletes must be well prepared in terms of racing vehicles, skills and strategies.

Each track is designed not only to challenge driving skills but also to require courage and perfect coordination between team members.

In particular, the Adventure Night Race will be a tough challenge that not only creates excitement but also tests the vehicles’ endurance and the competitors’ strong spirit and solidarity as they work hard to overcome the harsh conditions and conquer the winning Cup. It is a unique feature found only at the PVOIL VOC.

At the familiar venue of the Việt Nam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, the hilly terrain has been completely levelled and re-planned for the race tracks, experience area and team logistics.

For the first time, the organising committee has expanded the competition area by several dozen hectares, adding previously unexplored forests and natural swamps to create a completely new and more diverse tournament map than ever before.

The space for the event has also been redesigned. The area for ceremonial activities, exhibitions and performances has been expanded, making it easier for audiences and media to access.

Spectators will have the opportunity to take part directly in many festival activities around the racetracks and interactive games, with a chance to win thousands of prizes from sponsors.

In addition, they can follow the tests via a live stream featuring commentators and technical experts.

Car enthusiasts can test the power of off-road vehicles by participating in the test drive experience area, where the tracks are designed to simulate parts of the athletes’ tests.

Nguyễn Đại Hoàng, Head of the organsing committee presents in the press meeting to announce this year's tournament on October 8.

The PVOIL Cup is jointly organised by OTV Media and the Otofun Community with the support of the Việt Nam Sports Automobile Association (VMA).

Over the years, the tournament has not only been a gathering place for hundreds of athletes and racing teams from across the country but also the most anticipated motorsport event for audiences each year, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam as a potential destination for hosting extreme sports events.
