The visit takes place at a crucial time when the international community is determined to promote multilateralism to address a series of current global challenges, said the leader of the United Nations General Assembly.

The visit is very special, as it will be the first by a top leader of the Party and State of Việt Nam to Cuba.

Việt Nam has received the right to host the fourth summit of the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) in 2025. It is one of the seven founding members and an official partner of P4G.

The session adopted a resolution proposed by Palestine calling on Israel to end its occupation of the Palestinian territories within the next 12 months, comply with international law, withdraw its military, immediately cease all new settlement activities, evacuate all settlers from the occupied lands, and dismantle a portion of the separation wall constructed within the occupied West Bank.
