We would like to introduce full text of Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng’s address to the press following his talks with US President Joe Biden in Hà Nội on Sunday evening.

During her stay, Vietnamese Vice President Võ Thị Ánh Xuân will hold talks with Prime Minister Adriano Afonso Maleiane, pay courtesy visits to President Filipe Nyusi and President of the Assembly of Mozambique Esperanca Bias, and meet with the President of the Maputo Municipal Council, General Secretary of the Frelimo Party Roque Silva, the President of the Confederation of Mozambique Economic Associations (CTA) and several Mozambican enterprises.

Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng and United States President Joseph Biden announced that the two sides had adopted a joint statement on elevating the Việt Nam-US relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development at a press conference following their talks in Hà Nội on Sunday evening.

Nearly 400 women representing Vietnamese women's unions in nearly 20 European countries attended a founding congress of the Vietnamese Women Federation (VWF) in Europe, which was held in Prague, the Czech Republic on September 9.

General Secretary Trọng and President Biden agree that the reality has demonstrated that the most important factors in the development of Việt Nam-US relations are total respect for the fundamental principles guiding the bilateral relationship, including respect for the UN Charter, international law, and each other's political system, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The visit takes place when the two countries are marking the 10th anniversary of their Comprehensive Partnership.

US President Joe Biden arrived at Nội Bài International Airport in Hà Nội on Sunday afternoon, starting a two-day State visit to Việt Nam at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee Nguyễn Phú Trọng.

The session is significant in promoting children's engagement in issues related to them and prompting administrations at all levels to enhance their sense of responsibility in caring for, protecting and educating children.

According to the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), in recent years, the US has actively implemented a number of programmes to support Việt Nam in English teaching and education quality enhancing.

US President Joe Biden’s State visit to Vietnam will be an important milestone for both countries and help elevate bilateral relations to a new height, said Lê Thu Hà, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA)’s Committee for External Relations and deputy head of the Vietnam - US Friendship Parliamentarians Group.

The two countries have the time-honoured tradition of cooperation and mutual support throughout their respective revolutions to regain independence and national unification as well as the current causes of national defence, construction and development.
