National Assembly Chairman Vương Đình Huệ had a meeting with Mauricio Zunino, Acting Mayor of Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, on April 27 (local time).

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vương Đình Huệ held talks with Gustavo Penadés, President of the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) Parliament (PARLASUR), and PARLASUR's vice presidents – Celso Russomanno, Tomas Bittar and Cecilia Britto, in Montevideo, Uruguay on April 27 (Uruguay time), as part of the former’s official visit to Uruguay.

Chairman of Việt Nam National Assembly (NA) Vương Đình Huệ, Speaker of the Senate and Vice President of Uruguay Beatriz Argimon, and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Uruguay Sebastian Andujar on April 27 (local time) signed a cooperation agreement between the two parliaments.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Việt Nam, organised an international workshop on “Experience in reporting under the UPR mechanism.”

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính on Thursday attended a ceremony to launch the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene and the Month for Workers in 2023, during which he stressed the need to pay more attention to labourers, and listen to their thoughts and aspirations.

A delegation from the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV), led by Politburo member, permanent member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat and head of the committee’s Organisation Commission Trương Thị Mai, is on a working visit to China from April 25-28 at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Mãi said as HCM City is in the process of becoming a hub of innovation and creativity, which requires preparation for an ecosystem regarding institutions, infrastructure and human resources, he hoped to receive advice and support from Rosler in this field to create an environment conducive for innovation.

Uruguay is the last stop of National Assembly Chairman Vương Đình Huệ during his official visit to three American countries – Cuba, Argentina, and Uruguay – from April 18 to 28.

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vương Đình Huệ stated that the visit to Argentina by the Vietnamese NA’s high-ranking delegation aims not only to promote relations between the two legislative bodies but also to strengthen the comprehensive partnership between the countries, particularly in several specific sectors such as industry, agriculture and energy.

Argentine national news agency Telam run an article highlighting the strong relations between Việt Nam and Argentina. It noted that during their meeting, NA Chairman Huệ and Argentine President Alberto Fernandez reaffirmed the determination to strengthen bilateral trade and investment partnership.

The two countries have also successfully organised delegation exchange, alongside multiple activities for the Việt Nam-Laos, Laos-Việt Nam Friendship and Solidarity Year 2022. 

The NA Chairman held that the common noble values and warm feelings between the two countries are invaluable asset as well as a natural glue and strong motivation for them to take their relationship to a new stage of development with a new vision for the next 50 years in three main aspects.

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior Krolahom Sar Kheng co-chaired the 12th Conference on Cooperation and Development of Border Localities between Việt Nam and Cambodia in southern Tây Ninh Province on Tuesday.
