Landslide on Mimosa Pass disrupts access to Đà Lạt City

A major section of Mimosa Pass collapsed overnight, cutting off one of the main gateways to Da Lat. Authorities have blocked both ends of the pass and are diverting traffic to alternative routes.

HÀ NỘI — The Mimosa Pass, a key route leading into central Đà Lạt City in Lâm Đồng Province, on Wednesday night suffered a severe landslide, with dozens of metres of roadway sliding into a deep ravine.

The incident brought traffic to a standstill and forced many vehicles to turn back.

Local authorities immediately deployed forces to secure both entrances of the pass and directed traffic along alternative routes into Đà Lạt City Emergency teams are inspecting the site, assessing risks, and carrying out urgent stabilisation and repair work. —  VNS
