HÀ NỘI — Vingroup Corporation have announced an emergency relief package worth at least VNĐ500 billion (US$19.7 million) to support communities severely affected by Typhoon Bualoi.
Through the Thien Tam Fund and in coordination with local authorities, Vingroup will immediately provide direct assistance to impacted provinces. Support will focus on three groups: households with fatalities or missing persons (VND100 million per case), families whose homes collapsed (VND60 million per household), and families of meritorious people, war invalids, martyrs or those in special difficulty whose houses lost roofs (VND20 million per household). The group committed to increase funding if actual damages exceed estimates.
“Vingroup members never stand apart from the loss of our compatriots. We act with the motto: timely, targeted, practical,” said Nguyễn Viết Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup.
He called on the business community and public work together in supporting affected families.
Vingroup has long been active in disaster relief and community support, with total social contributions exceeding VND30,000 billion. Its latest initiative reaffirms the group’s mission 'For a better life for everyone' and its commitment to strengthening solidarity in times of hardship. — VNS
