National Assembly Trần Thanh Mẫn affirmed that strengthening and developing a friendly, cooperative, stable, and long-term relationship with China is a consistent policy, a strategic choice, and a top priority in Việt Nam's foreign policy.
Both officials acknowledged the robust development of the bilateral relations, particularly in political and diplomatic exchanges. The bilateral economic and trade cooperation has also witnessed remarkable growth, with a 25 per cent increase in bilateral trade.
NA Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn stressed that Việt Nam wants to strengthen the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the PDPU and the CPV, as well as between the two nations, based on mutual trust and support.
Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính affirmed that adversity has always reinforced Vietnam’s resilience and resourcefulness, enabling the country to overcome obstacles and adapt effectively to global shifts.
National Assembly Vice Chairman Trần Quang Phương reaffirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State, and people highly value the traditional friendship between the two countries.
State President Lương Cường urged the Phú Thọ public security force to uphold their tradition of solidarity and maintain close coordination with other relevant forces to not only secure this year’s commemoration but also contribute to successfully fulfilling the wider tasks entrusted by the provincial leaders.
The top legislator expressed his hope that after graduation, many students studying the Vietnamese language at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies would become diplomats, entrepreneurs, teachers, interpreters, or researchers on Việt Nam, serving as a vital link in fostering cooperation between the two countries.
PM Chính also held meetings with Party General Secretary and President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, and with Laos’ Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
State President Lương Cường, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Đỗ Văn Chiến, Minister of National Defence Phan Văn Giang, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Văn Chính, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyễn Khắc Định were among those who attended the ceremony.
The visit is a vivid testament to the excellent cooperation between the two countries across multiple domains, from politics to economy, trade and investment, culture, defence, security, education - training, and transport, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Spain Đoàn Thanh Song.
They also agreed that parliamentary cooperation between the two countries will further contribute to implementing the Việt Nam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership framework, thus promoting collaboration between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, education- training, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides agreed to continue strengthening close and effective cooperation between the two legislatures in the time ahead.
The NA Chairman emphasised that no country or society can achieve sustainable development without placing people at the centre of all policies.
PM Anwar Ibrahim said Malaysia and many regional countries welcome and highly value the Vietnamese Party chief’s conversation with President Donald Trump, voicing support for Việt Nam's approach to the tariff issue.
