HẠ LONG — The Quảng Ninh Provincial Museum has collaborated with the Huế City History Museum to launch an exhibition showcasing Vietnamese áo dài (traditional dress) through history.
According to Director of the Quảng Ninh Museum Đỗ Quyết Tiến, the exhibition aims to enhance the quality and effectiveness of heritage preservation, education and communication.
This is not only an opportunity for the public to gain a deeper understanding of the history of the Vietnamese áo dài but also a chance for locals and visitors to directly experience traditional cultural activities, such as making paper flowers, crafting clay figurines of Kitchen Gods and the various steps involved in sewing áo dài.
The exhibition introduces the public to 30 traditional áo dài designs, along with related artefacts and accessories that accompany them. It will also showcase 60 styles of áo dài, featuring female, male and children’s designs.
Integrated with digital technology for narration, display and interaction, the exhibit will offer an impressive experience for visitors.
The exhibition will remain open until June 15. — VNS
