HCM CITY – The Consulate General of France in HCM has launched the “Venez faire la fête en France” (Come and play in France) art exhibition at the French mansion in District 1 on December 7, 2022.
The festival aims to let locals experience festivals around France through artworks.
There are a total of 14 artworks displayed outside the residence of the French Consulate General in HCM City. Each of them depicts a famous festival in French, such as the Lyon light festival, the Strasbourg Christmas market, and the Guadeloupe carnival.
“The past two years have been difficult for all of us, and I believe we are all happy when we can meet and spend time with our family and friends. Through this exhibition, we want to show the locals that festivals are a part of our life. Each festival is nuanced, depending on the region and time of year,” said Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, Consulate General of France in HCM City.
“We also want to prove that French tourism is not just about tours of the Eiffel Tower or beach holidays, it has so much more than that,” she added.
More information about the artworks will be available on the Consulate General of France facebook fanpage.
The exhibition lasts until April 7, 2023 – VNS
