HCM CITY FE CREDIT, a subsidiary of VPBank, has launched a financial app designed to enhance the consumer loan experience, particularly for the tech-savvy Gen Z demographic. The app, named FE ONLINE 2.0, was showcased at the recent “Cashless Day 2025” event in HCM City.
FE ONLINE 2.0 is a comprehensive platform offering a range of consumer finance services, from flexible loans to credit card applications and digital banking — all within a single, easy-to-navigate app. This upgraded version is packed with user-friendly features that simplify financial management. With just a few taps on their smartphones, users can effortlessly track and manage their loans. Thanks to its intuitive design, quick processing times, and tailored options, the app has received positive feedback from users across various age groups. However, it has particularly resonated with younger users eager to embrace modern financial trends, according to an FE CREDIT representative.
For Gen Z, having a financial app that is fast, simple, and tailored to their unique needs is essential — a priority that FE CREDIT has addressed in its digital transformation efforts. Minh Tuấn, 28, from Tân Phú District, said: “I always thought consumer loans were a hassle and involved countless trips to the bank. But after discovering FE ONLINE 2.0 and trying it out, I found the whole process to be so straightforward. If I ever need a loan, I’ll definitely choose FE CREDIT through this app.”
With this app, FE CREDIT is committed to collaborating with the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam to foster digital transformation within the financial sector. This effort is particularly vital in rural and remote areas, where access to traditional financial services is limited. The app enables customers from all regions to easily access financial products and receive online consultations, helping to close the service gap nationwide.

Gen Z thrives in the digital consumer loan landscape
At a workshop titled “Gen Z Benefits from the Digital Transformation of Consumer Loans”, held during the Cashless Day 2025 event, an FE CREDIT representative noted that Gen Z is the first generation to grow up entirely in a digital world, with easy access to information on business, investment, and personal finance. “As digital natives, they easily access and disseminate financial information, fostering a more open perspective on personal finance,” she said.
Today, Gen Z views borrowing not as a burden, but as an investment in education, entrepreneurship, and life experiences. Their willingness to take financial risks is supported by financial education, empowering them to make informed, independent financial choices. FE CREDIT remains committed to providing safe and accessible consumer financial solutions, while also supporting community development and sustainability.
The Cashless Day event, held on June 14–15, forms part of a broader initiative to promote cashless payments and digital transformation in line with the Government’s goal of increasing the adoption of cashless transactions. Since its inception in 2019, the annual Cashless Day has successfully highlighted the benefits of digital finance to millions of Vietnamese citizens. VNS
