ĐÀ NẴNG — Japanese bike producer Honda introduced two legendary motorbike models – minibike Monkey and Super Cub C125 – to the Vietnamese market at an event in the central city of Đà Nẵng on October 31.
Honda Viet Nam said the two models, which were imported from Thailand, will be sold at price of VND84.99 million (US$3,760) and that each bike will be available at showrooms nationwide from November 15.
The Monkey model – seen as the most favourite minibike brand among young Japanese bikers in the 1960s – is equipped with a four-stroke 125cc cubic centimetre (CC) cylinder, single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and a four-gear box and manual clutch that allows rapid acceleration.
It uses a rear and front 12-inch bobber-tyre and a 5.6-liter fuel tank.
Honda Viet Nam said the super cub C125 recalls the nostalgia of the best-selling brand in the world as more than 100 million had been sold by 2017.
It uses a centrifugal clutch and a 125cc engine with a four-gear box and two valves.
The two models use an air-cool system and programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI).
Honda Viet Nam said it hopes the two classic models will entice Vietnamese customers with their vintage design and economical power consumption. — VNS
