HCM CITY – Vietnam Cable Television (VTVCab) has recently announced that they have won the rights to broadcast the Union of European Football Associations (UAFE) competitions for the next three seasons.
Accordingly, in co-operation with Vietcontent, the UEFA's distribution partner in the Vietnamese market, VTVCab will have the right to broadcast UEFA Club-level tournaments including: UEFA Champions League (C1 Cup), UEFA Europa League (C2 Cup), UEFA Conference League (C3 Cup), UEFA Super Cup (European Super Cup) and UEFA Youth League (UYL).
These five competitions will be broadcasted across multiple platforms including television, over-the-top media services (OTT) and social media, and include matches, shows, and highlight clips.
VTVcab will broadcast matches on channels such as ON Football, ON Sports, ON Sports News, ON Sports +, and through the VTVcab ON, ON Plus applications.
Additionally, viewers can follow the weekly UEFA Magazine, and impressive moments from matches will be available across various platforms and VTVcab's social media channels.
The programme lineup includes expert commentary talk shows, outstanding game entertainment, and fast updates on all tournament activities to fulfill every football fan's needs.
In addition to broadcasting some qualifying matches from three ongoing tournaments, VTVcab is providing an exciting lineup for UEFA club competitions. The first standout match of the UEFA Club tournaments is the UEFA Super Cup clash between Real Madrid and Atalanta scheduled for 2am on August 15th.
With the slogan "The Best of The Best – Champion of Champions," starting from the 2024/2025 season, UEFA has been investing in enhancing the quality of audio and visual aspects of its tournaments.
In alignment with this initiative, VTVcab is also meticulously preparing in terms of broadcasting technology and producing engaging supportive programmes to deliver a top-notch football experience to viewers.
At the Champions League arena, VTVcab audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy many top-notch matches between leading European teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, AC Milan, and Bayern Munich.
The five competitions are the most exciting tournaments at the club level of the European Football Association, bringing together all the outstanding teams and top players in the world. In addition, starting from the 2024-25 season, the tournaments have also begun new, unique, and more appealing formats.
A completely new competition format has been implemented across all three tournaments. In the Champions League, 36 clubs will compete in a single group instead of being divided into multiple groups as before. Each team will play four home matches and four away matches.
The top eight leading clubs will advance directly to the Round of 16, while the next 16 clubs will compete in playoffs for the remaining eight spots.
The final matchday will be extremely exciting with 18 matches taking place simultaneously. From the Round of 16 onwards, the format will be similar to traditional knockout rounds. – VNS
