Young tennis players to compete for championship titles

HÀ NỘI — The National Junior, Youth and Cadet Tennis Championships will be held on August 5-15 in Bà Rịa -Vũng Tàu Province.

More than 300 athletes from 29 cities and provinces will compete in the age group categories at the tennis court complex of Vũng Tàu Sports Joint Stock Company.

Among talented players are Asian U14 ITF champions Lê Tiến Anh and Vũ Tuấn Phong, VTF Junior Tour winner Tô Bình Nhiên and rising star Đỗ Phúc Tuệ Lâm.

They will vie for medals in the boys' and girls' singles of the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 groups and boys' and girls' doubles events of the U12, U14, U16 and U18. Among them, the boys' and girls' U8 singles and U12 doubles are new pools.

The VTF stated that young tennis players consistently deliver a wide range of emotions in their matches.

The tournament not only provides an opportunity for the young athletes to enhance their skills, but it also allowes coaches to evaluate and rank the players while reviewing their training and coaching methods.

The VTF expected to scout talented players for the national youth squads and lured more people's attention to tennis and push the development the sport in the community.

The event is one of activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Việt Nam Tennis Federation establishment (1989-2024), and the 79th year of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). VNS
