Under the support of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (R&A), one of the oldest golf clubs in the world, VGA first introduce golf under the “Bringing golf into schools” project to Blue Sky Academy in Vinh City, Nghệ An Province.
There are two courses for children from six to 10 years olf and from 11 to 16 with a total of 50 trainees who all show their interest in golf after their first sessions at the Cửa Lò Golf Resort, SGA Nghệ An and Vinh Tân golf course.
According to VGA, the project is expected to make golf more popular in the community, helping many people, especially children, access to the sport. They receive basic knowledge about golf and golf culture, how to play and practice golf.
Schools will be the most important bridge for the VGA to coordinate with other units to successfully organise this programme.
VGA will take the "Bringing golf into schools" to other provinces and cities across the country in the near future. VNS
