HÀ NỘI The International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) has been ranked 6th in Việt Nam in the field of physical sciences, according to the latest Nature Index rankings for the period from February 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
Located in Quy Nhơn, Gia Lai Province, ICISE was founded in 2013 by the renowned Vietnamese-French physicist Professor Trần Thanh Vân and his wife, Professor Lê Kim Ngọc. Established through the non-profit organization Rencontres du Vietnam, the center aims to promote international scientific exchange and foster the growth of young scientists in Asia.
This ranking is based on ICISE’s scientific output in the world’s leading prestigious international journals, including: Nature, Physical Review Letters, The Astrophysical Journal Letters, Astronomy & Astrophysics, and European Physical Journal C.
During the assessment period, ICISE recorded a total of seven scientific publications tracked and recognised by the Nature Index within the Physical Sciences category.
This achievement reflects the outstanding contributions of research groups at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research in Science and Education (IFIRSE), a subsidiary of ICISE, in the field of fundamental scientific research. Furthermore, it is the result of ongoing efforts to promote international scientific cooperation, attracting world-class scientists to work, engage in academic exchange, and implement high-quality research projects at ICISE.
The recognition by Nature Index not only highlights the quality and research efficiency of the IFIRSE teams but also reaffirms ICISE’s pivotal role in fostering international collaboration. By creating a favourable environment for high-impact research, ICISE continues to contribute significantly to the development of basic science in Việt Nam.
