SAINT PETERSBURG — A delegation from the Việt Nam Education Publishing House (VXPH) led by Editor-in-Chief PhD Phạm Vĩnh Thái last visited and worked with several educational and cultural institutions in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The visit began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of President Hồ Chí Minh, the first President of the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam.
Attending the ceremony were Igor Bodnarchuk, Head of the Department for Relations with International Organisations under the Saint Petersburg Committee for Foreign Affairs, along with representatives from the Vyborg District Administration.
The main part of the programme was the visit to High School No 488 in Vyborg District, where the Hồ Chí Minh Museum was established in 2023. The delegation toured the museum and had a meeting with Natalia Osennova, the school principal.

On this occasion, Thái, representing VXPH, donated many educational books to the students, expressing the affection and respect for the educational institution and the desire to promote cultural as well as educational exchanges between the two countries.

At the end of the programme, both sides expressed their wish to continue expanding and strengthening cooperation in education, contributing to consolidating friendship and mutual understanding between Việt Nam and Russia.
Notably, the visit took place on the eve of Teacher's Day in Russia, carrying profound symbolic meaning.
The Việt Nam Education Publishing House was established on June 1, 1957, under the Ministry of Education and Training. With nearly 70 years of development, VXPH is the largest educational publishing unit in the country, comprising nearly 40 member units and affiliated companies, publishing thousands of book titles each year.
VXPH currently holds 75 per cent market share of educational books in Việt Nam, responsible for compiling, editing, publishing and distributing textbooks, teaching materials and electronic resources for teaching and learning.
Moreover, VXPH promotes international cooperation, participates in cultural and educational projects for Vietnamese communities abroad, with notable initiatives such as the "Vietnamese Bookshelf," in collaboration with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, and deploys many innovative initiatives in education and expands international partnerships. — VNS
