THỪA THIÊN-HUẾ  — A Tết gift-giving programme ‘Cherishing the homey taste of Tết’ has delivered gifts to 7,500 underprivileged families in the central provinces of Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An, Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Thừa Thiên Huế, Đà Nẵng, Quảng Nam and Quảng Ngãi.

The annual Tết gift programme, conducted by Carlsberg Vietnam, has donated daily essentials gift packages to poor people in the region in the hope of bringing a joyful Tết (lunar New Year) festival during the pandemic.

The programme is also calling for the support on the fanpage of Huda, a local brand of Carlsberg Vietnam, while continuing a journey of delivering gifts to people so they can celebrate a joyful Tết.

Managing Director of Carlsberg Vietnam Onno Rombouts said: “Having connected with the central community for more than 30 years, Huda has always cherished our ties with the local people."

"In response to the support of the people in the central region, Huda has constantly given back to the community to contribute to a better life for the people. After an especially difficult 2021, Huda wants to bring many central families a cosy and happy 2022 Tết season full of memorable reunion moments with their loved ones.”

Earlier, Huda completed its long-term Corporate Social Responsibility freshwater programme to supply water to more than 20,000 people, while promoting the ‘Beach Clean Up’ event in the region in 2021.

Different donations were given to poor people in the region suffering from floods, storms and COVID-19 pandemic damage throughout the year. — VNS
