Việt Nam attractions make Tripadvisor’s Southeast Asia top 10

Two Vietnamese landmarks, Hội An Ancient Town and the War Remnants Museum, have been named among Southeast Asia’s 10 most popular attractions in the latest Best of the Best rankings by Tripadvisor, one of the world’s largest travel review platforms.

Hà Nội circus, school turn Hoàn Kiếm Lake into open-air stage

Within the open space of the Hoàn Kiếm Lake pedestrian area, professional circus acts, magic and comedy routines shared the spotlight with a traditional orchestra playing Vietnamese folk pieces 'Lý Cây Đa' (Ode to the Banyan Tree) and 'Trống Cơm' (Listen to the Drums), alongside a violin rendition of 'Viết Tiếp Câu Chuyện Hòa Bình' (Keep Writing the Story of Peace) performed by teachers and students.

Planning of Hà Nội craft villages to create green, livable spaces

Hà Nội is currently home to the largest number of craft villages in Việt Nam, with around 1,350 villages engaged in traditional trades and handicrafts. Of these, 337 have been officially recognised by the municipal People’s Committee. Together, they generate an estimated annual revenue of more than VNĐ25 trillion (US$949 million) and provide employment for approximately 800,000 workers, making them an important pillar of the rural economy.
