LÂM ĐỒNG — Nearly 150 of the nation's leading chefs gathered in Lâm Đồng Province on Tuesday to showcase their culinary flair and present the public with a vibrant array of distinctive and innovative regional dishes.

Held at the TTC World – Valley of Love in Lâm Viên Ward, the event carried the theme ‘Flavours of the Highlands and the Sea’, celebrating the rich diversity of Vietnamese cuisine.

The gathering aimed to spotlight emerging culinary talent, enhance the cultural and gastronomic value of Vietnamese food and establish a professional platform for chefs operating both domestically and internationally.

It also focused on developing menus that highlight local specialties, while promoting street food, banquet dishes and signature offerings from restaurants, hotels, tourist destinations, and local eateries.

President of the Lâm Đồng Chefs' Association Nguyễn Hữu Hường stated, "This is also an opportunity to connect and promote Lâm Đồng’s agricultural products and other regions across the country. At the same time, it fosters creativity and application of delicious and distinctive dishes, contributing to the development of nighttime tourism in the province.”

With 48 competing teams and nearly 150 contestants from 25 provinces across the country, the chefs showcased 144 exceptional dishes to the organising committee and attendees at the event.

At the end of the competition, the organising committee awarded prizes to individuals and teams who performed outstandingly.

The competition will be maintained and held regularly every two years. —VNS
