HÀ NỘI — For its outstanding contribution to dairy exports and its pioneering role in bringing Vietnamese nutrition products to global markets, Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) has been awarded a Certificate of Merit for Exemplary Exporters by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

The recognition was announced on December 19, 2025, at the ministry’s year-end review conference, held in the presence of Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and leaders of ministries and agencies. At the event, the MoIT released Việt Nam’s import–export results for 2025 and honoured enterprises with strong export performance in 2024. Vinamilk was the only company from the dairy sector to be recognised.

Over the years, exports have been identified by Vinamilk as a strategic pillar alongside its domestic market. Building on its position as Việt Nam’s leading dairy producer, the company has steadily strengthened its international competitiveness through sustained investment in technology, standardised production processes, strict compliance with food safety requirements and the adoption of international governance practices.

To date, Vinamilk products are available in 65 countries and territories, spanning the Middle East, Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, Oceania, North America, South America and Africa. Its export portfolio has expanded steadily to include powdered milk, liquid milk, condensed milk, yoghurt, ice cream, plant-based milk and coconut water. Products are developed not only to meet technical import standards, but also to suit local physical characteristics, tastes and consumption habits, reflecting a depth-oriented export strategy anchored in quality and market relevance.

Vinamilk has brought internationally standardised nutrition products at affordable prices to children in developing countries, including several African markets, while proactively tapping into consumer trends in developed economies such as Australia and New Zealand. At the same time, the company strictly applies international standards on environmentally friendly packaging, underscoring its commitment to sustainable development across export operations.

In 2025 alone, Vinamilk participated in nearly 40 international trade fairs and trade promotion programmes, many of them organised in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and local authorities. This active engagement highlights the company’s proactive approach to market expansion, partner diversification and the strengthening of Việt Nam’s brand visibility overseas, in line with the ministry’s broader trade development orientation.

For demanding markets such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, Europe, Australia and the United States, Vinamilk products are required to pass rigorous inspections by international organisations, meeting high standards for food safety, traceability and quality. Alongside this, the company continues to invest in research and development, designing product lines tailored to the cultural, culinary and nutritional needs of each market, laying the groundwork for long-term and sustainable market presence.

These efforts have translated into strong export results. In 2024, Vinamilk’s net revenue from overseas markets reached VNĐ10.98 trillion, up 12.6 per cent year-on-year, making a significant contribution to its consolidated revenue of VNĐ61.82 trillion. In the first nine months of 2025, export revenue continued to post robust growth, reaching nearly VNĐ8.35 trillion, up 15.7 per cent over the same period. During this time, Vinamilk entered two new markets, raising the cumulative total to 65 countries and territories.

Vinamilk’s international standing has also been reinforced through independent assessments. According to Brand Finance, in 2025 Vinamilk was ranked the world’s most potential dairy brand with the highest AAA+ rating, and was the only Southeast Asian representative in the Top 10 most valuable dairy brands globally. The result reflects the growing competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in high-value-added food processing.

The Certificate of Merit for Exemplary Exporters 2024, presented at the MoIT’s 2025 year-end conference, is not only recognition of Vinamilk’s business performance but also an affirmation of its role as a key export enterprise of the dairy industry. From this foundation, Vinamilk is expected to continue working closely with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to realise export development goals for the 2026–2030 period, contributing to higher value for Vietnamese goods, strengthening the national brand and supporting Việt Nam’s export growth in 2025 and the years ahead.
