HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF), in cooperation with FIFA, has organised a nationwide talent identification programme for young female footballers as part of its long-term development strategy.

The programme was held across three regions, including Nghệ An on June 10 with more than 40 participants, HCM City on June 12 with nearly 100 players, and Hà Nội on June 14, attracting around 150 candidates.

At each venue, players were divided into age groups to undergo professional assessments. Those born in 2011–2012 are being considered for future national youth teams, while younger participants (2013–2015) are identified as potential long-term prospects.

The candidates took part in a series of tests covering speed, strength, coordination, ball control and match play. The comprehensive evaluation aims to help selectors identify players with strong potential and suitability for systematic training.

According to the plan, shortlisted players will attend a centralised training and assessment camp on June 19 - 22 at the Việt Nam Youth Football Training Centre.
