HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam will compete in the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) World Challenge Cup 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from May 21-24.
More than 70 elite athletes from 19 countries will compete, bringing world-class skill, power and artistry to one unforgettable competition, making the event one of the most exciting highlights of the international gymnastics calendar.
Among the five Vietnamese athletes, Vũ Tiến Anh is taking part in his first major international tournament.
The rest are Nguyễn Văn Khánh Phong, Đặng Ngọc Xuân Thiện, Nguyễn Phước Hải and Nguyễn Thị Quỳnh Như have made their marks in the international arenas.
Coach Trương Minh Sang said his gymnasts were in the best possible conditions and are ready to show their abilities. Their target was top three places in all categories.
Last Cup, Phong earned silver in the men's rings while Thiện won gold in the men's pommel horse in Bulgaria. — VNS
