HÀ NỘI — Lê Kiên Thành has been re-elected as President of the Việt Nam Golf Association (VGA) for a five-year term from 2025-2030 during the National Congress on August 14 in Hà Nội.
The congress featured the participation of more than 70 delegates from various cities and provinces, organisations and businesses operating in the field of golf, and individuals who have made major contributions to the development of golf in Việt Nam.
They reviewed VGA's achievements over the last term, pointed out remaining problems that need to be fixed and set a new vision for further development.

Following the election, the association's new Executive Committee includes 53 outstanding people who are representatives of nationwide golf organisations, as well as related agencies.
In its first meeting, the congress elected key leadership positions, of which Thành received strong support and trust to lead the association for its fifth term in a row.
“We are committed to continuing to build the Việt Nam Golf Association into a professional, transparent and democratic organisation,” said Thành.
"Our association will strongly promote the development of the youth golf movement, improve the quality of coaches and referees and gradually make golf a popular sport, close to the community."
The delegates also confirmed their determination to innovate management, strengthen organisational capacity, expand domestic and international cooperation and enhance the position of Vietnamese golf in the world.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng and Director of the Sports Authority of Việt Nam Nguyễn Danh Hoàng Việt attended the congress and suggested many strategic directions for sustainable development, professionalisation and deep integration of the VGA in the next term. — VNS
