Indian Gill leads Vietnam Masters, local golfers make the cut

LONG AN -- Four Vietnamese golfers made cut at the Nam Á Bank 2024 Vietnam Masters on June 13 in Long An Province.

After two first days of competition at the Royal Long An Golf & Villas, Indian Pukhraj Singh Gill tops the leader board with an 11-under par 133.

Gill on June 12 set a new record of 8-under par 64, the best ever score in a round at the Vietnam Masters.

He is followed by Indonesian Jonathan Wijono (9-under, 135) and Thai Witchayanon Chothirunrungrueng (7-under, 137).

Three other representatives of Việt Nam who join Minh in the next round are Nguyễn Nhất Long, Lê Khánh Hưng and Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt who have same 1-under par 143 and share the 44th place.

The final round on June 14 will find out the champion who will walk away with US$14,875 among a total of $85,000 bonus which is a record prize of the tournament. VNS
