A man who contracted COVID-19 earlier this month has tested negative three times in a row.

NINH BÌNH — A man who contracted COVID-19 earlier this month has tested negative three times in a row. He is the 18th patient to have been given the all-clear.

He was the first person to test positive in the northern province of Ninh Bình and was treated at the provincial general hospital since March 7.

Chu Thị Giang, deputy director of the hospital, said that during the treatment, the patient was tested five times. The first two times showed positive results, and the three last time on March 14, 16 and 18 showed negative results.

He has been transferred to Thái Bình Hospital for further observation.

The 27-year-old returned from Daegu City in South Korea and then was quarantined.

By Friday, Việt Nam has recorded 85 coronavirus patients. There are currently 67 being treated for the disease. — VNS
