BANGKOK – At least six people, including two women who were identified as Vietnamese citizens, were killed in a traffic accident on Tuesday in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province, 200 kilometres to the northeast of Bangkok.

According to Thai police, the coach’s driver seemed to be asleep, causing the vehicle to plunge over the median strip and hit a pick-up in the opposite direction.
Four people were killed at the scene, two others were in critical condition then passed away at the hospital and 10 people were injured. Most of the passengers in the 14-seat coach hold Lao and Vietnamese passports, who were en route to the Thailand-Laos border gate. — VNS
