HÀ NỘI — The second World Culture Festival in Hà Nội has opened, bringing together dozens of diplomatic missions, international artists and large numbers of local residents.
The event highlights Hà Nội’s role as a City for Peace and a centre for cultural exchange in the region.
Held under the theme “Convergence of Heritage, Shaping the Future”, the festival marks the 50th anniversary of Việt Nam’s UNESCO membership (1976–2026).
The programme features traditional costume parades, contemporary art performances and food from across five continents.
A highlight of this year’s festival is a handicraft exhibition with interactive workshops, where residents and visitors can learn directly from artisans from Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
The event also includes forums on cultural exchange and tourism promotion, encouraging friendship and mutual understanding among nations.
The festival offers residents of the capital an opportunity to explore cultures from around the world, while promoting solidarity and respect for cultural identity. — VNS
