BẮC GIANG — Bắc Giang Museum is hosting the thematic exhibition “Celebrating the Party, Welcoming Ất Tỵ Spring 2025” to mark the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (3 February 1930 – 3 February 2025) and welcome the Lunar New Year.
A representative from Bắc Giang Museum noted that over the past 95 years, under the Party’s leadership, Việt Nam has made remarkable strides across economic, cultural, and social domains. Bắc Giang, in particular, has witnessed significant progress in industrialisation, modernisation, and international integration. These achievements reflect the unity, creativity, and relentless efforts of the province’s Party committee, authorities, and people.
The exhibition presents a rich collection of images and artefacts, offering a chance to reflect on the Party’s legacy while honouring Bắc Giang’s cultural heritage, particularly the traditions of Tết.
Visitors can explore nearly 110 photographs highlighting 10 key socio-economic achievements of Bắc Giang in 2024, major development goals for 2025, and 10 notable cultural, sports, and tourism events. The exhibition also features around 50 images of the province’s cultural heritage and another 50 illustrating Tết traditions past and present. Additionally, 50 artefacts collected in 2024 and 35 ritual and festive objects associated with Tết are on display, providing insight into Bắc Giang’s history and customs.
As part of the event series, visitors, including delegates and students, can take part in interactive activities such as a reenactment of the traditional cây nêu (New Year bamboo pole) ceremony, bánh chưng wrapping, fruit tray arrangement, Tết floral decoration, calligraphy demonstrations, and folk games.
The exhibition and its accompanying activities offer a vibrant portrayal of Việt Nam’s Lunar New Year celebrations, fostering pride in Bắc Giang’s cultural identity, strengthening community bonds, and creating a joyful and festive atmosphere to welcome the new year. VNS
