University of Economics job fair has 5,000 vacancies

HCM CITY — The University of Economics HCM City opened its annual UEH Sharing - Career Fair in HCM City on March 31 with more than 5,000 job vacancies on offer for students, fresh graduates and experienced workers.

It has brought together nearly 50 leading companies in banking - finance - insurance, securities, accounting, auditing, consulting, consumer goods, food, technology, e-commerce, construction - real estate, trade, import – export, logistics, and manufacturing.

Lê Hoàng Việt, deputy head of recruitment at Eximbank, said more than 100 vacancies for banking consultants, tellers, customer care officers, and credit officers are available at the fair for both fresh graduates and experienced hands.

Thousands of students and other job seekers have applied for jobs directly and online and will be interviewed at the fair.

Along with recruitment activities, the event also features a series of workshops that will provide information about the job market, career trends and internship opportunities for students, and the skills job seekers need for application and interview.

Prof. Dr. Sử Đình Thành, director of the UEH, said the university has worked closely with enterprises and partners to improve the quality of training and enhance employment opportunities for graduates, implement innovation and sustainable development projects and fund scholarships.

The fair is a platform to connect enterprises with young human resources and potential candidates and help workers get jobs, he added. —VNS
