HCM CITY — The University of Economics HCM City on Thursday introduced its annual UEH Sharing - Career Fair, which will feature a series of activities to bring together office workers and entrepreneurs.
Some 60 companies who need to hire more than 5,000 employees in banking - finance - insurance, securities, accounting, auditing, consulting, consumer goods, food, technology, e-commerce, construction - real estate, trade, import – export, logistics, manufacturing, and energy are taking part.
Dr Bùi Quang Hùng, vice president of UEH, said the university had set up a network with around 500 enterprises to enhance employment opportunities for fresh graduates.
Participating enterprises would showcase their products and services and get access to the profiles of more than 13,000 potential candidates, including 5,000 students who graduate this year, he said.
The school would call for contributions to its “Giving to UEH” programme, which funds scholarships for talented students, expansion of international networks, transfers of scientific knowledge, and implementation of projects for the development of the community and society.
A number of workshops on application of AI, recruitment trends and necessary skills for job applications and interview would be held during the event.
A tech show would showcase robots and other cutting-edge technologies.
The event is slated to take place from April 17 to 23 expects to attract 7,500 visitors. —VNS
