The music video premiered on August 14 across streaming platforms and social media. The song, composed by Nguyễn Văn Chung, opens with lyrics that reflect national pride:

Việt Nam hỡi, yêu giọng nói nơi tôi được sống/ Yêu dải đất bên bờ biển Đông/ Yêu truyền thống, yêu dòng máu linh thiêng Lạc Hồng/ Trái tim hướng về quê hương, thổi bùng khao khát, mong vươn ra biển lớn/ Chúng ta là người Việt Nam, là người Việt Nam.

(Oh Việt Nam, I love the voice of the land where I live/ I love the stretch of land along the East Sea/ I love the traditions, the sacred bloodline of Lạc Hồng/ My heart turns toward my homeland, igniting a burning desire to reach the vast ocean/ We are Vietnamese, we are Vietnamese.)

The song was first released in audio format on August 10 and quickly gained traction on several music platforms. At the music video launch event in Hà Nội yesterday (August 14), Tùng Dương said that the positive reception of previous patriotic songs, such as Một Vòng Việt Nam (A Round of Việt Nam) and Khát Vọng Tuổi Trẻ (Youth Aspiration), especially among younger audiences, inspired him to produce this video.

“Through this song, I want to express the responsibility of an artist toward the nation, especially on the occasion of the 80th National Day,” he said. “For an artist like me, singing to honour the country and homeland is a source of pride. In this music video, my team and I aim to bring meaningful images of Việt Nam to the community, highlighting the country’s landscapes and peaceful spirit.”

Composer Nguyễn Văn Chung added that the idea for the song emerged during a period of national reform in July. He saw it as a moment of transition and growth, prompting him to write a piece that reflected this change.

“This is also the heartfelt contribution of a young person who wants to serve the nation. As a composer, my way of giving back is through songs – the spirit within them and the energy they carry to the audience,” he said.

He added that Tùng Dương was his first choice for the song and their collaboration revealed shared artistic values, particularly a focus on detail and quality.

The music video, directed by Vũ Hồng Thắng, combines large-scale visuals with everyday scenes to convey both national pride and relatable emotion. Thắng, known for his work with artists such as Đức Phúc, Chi Pu, Hòa Minzy, Erik, and Hoàng Bách.

“I hope viewers will feel the spirit of unity, trust, and the country’s powerful transformation through every glance and smile, from intimate family scenes to sweeping community visuals in the MV,” said Thắng.
