HÀ NỘI — Two new books about President Hồ Chí Minh have been introduced to readers in Hà Nội, promising to enrich the national narrative surrounding one of the most revered leaders in Vietnamese history.

The Việt nam Education Publishing House on Wednesday officially launched two special publications: Bác Là Hồ Chí Minh (He is Hồ Chí Minh) and Bác Hồ Ở Thái Lan (Uncle Hồ in Thailand).

These two titles go beyond traditional historical records. They delve into the humanistic values of Hồ Chí Minh's life, combining vivid documentation with thoughtful curation. The result is a rich tapestry of memory, insight and inspiration for current and future generations.

Speaking at the launch event, Deputy General Director of Việt Nam Education Publishing House Nguyễn Chí Bính said: “Every page about President Hồ Chí Minh is not only a story — it is a mark of history, an emotional current that pulls us back to our revolutionary roots and the towering moral character of a man who brought glory to our nation.”

According to Bính, as Việt Nam grows and integrates more deeply into the global landscape, preserving and promoting Hồ Chí Minh’s ideals has become more vital than ever.

“His legacy of patriotism, resilience, creative thinking and moral clarity continues to guide us in nation-building and global engagement,” he said.

The two books are part of the publisher’s commitment to offer high-quality materials beyond traditional textbooks. These include literary works, research publications and thematic references aimed at supporting readers from diverse backgrounds.

With these latest releases, the publishing house hopes to make the image and values of Hồ Chí Minh more accessible and deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of Vietnamese people and friends around the world.

The book Bác là Hồ Chí Minh (He is Hồ Chí Minh) follows the President’s journey from a young teacher seeking national salvation to a revered revolutionary leader.

The first book, Bác Là Hồ Chí Minh (He is Hồ Chí Minh), was compiled by author Lương Văn Phú, who has spent decades studying and reflecting on the life of the President.

The book paints an intimate and dignified portrait of a great leader — one who was both humble and visionary. Through verified historical records and photographs, the author traces Hồ Chí Minh’s journey from his early days as a young teacher named Nguyễn Tất Thành setting out to find a path for national liberation, to his return and leadership of the August Revolution in 1945.

More than a biography, the book explores his philosophy, ethics and leadership style, highlighting timeless lessons in patriotism, perseverance and intellectual independence.

With text in both Vietnamese and Thai, Bác Hồ ở Thái Lan (Uncle Hồ in Thailand) deepens our understanding of Hồ Chí Minh’s time in Thailand and celebrates the friendship between the two countries.

The second book, Bác Hồ ở Thái Lan (Uncle Hồ in Thailand), by Hà Lam Danh, brings to light a lesser-known yet significant chapter in Hồ Chí Minh’s life — his time in Thailand between 1928 and 1929. Compiled with rare documents and authentic anecdotes, the book recreates his revolutionary work in the country and showcases the simplicity, intelligence and deep compassion he shared with the Vietnamese diaspora.

What makes Uncle Hồ in Thailand particularly special is its bilingual presentation in Vietnamese and Thai. This format not only helps generations of Vietnamese people living in Thailand connect more deeply with their roots, but also strengthens the cultural and historical bridge between Việt Nam and Thailand.

The book stands as a living testament to the enduring friendship between the two nations and underscores the crucial role of overseas Vietnamese communities in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.

With these two thoughtfully produced titles, Việt Nam Education Publishing House aspires to place valuable historical resources into schools, libraries and homes across the country. The books are designed to educate, inspire and nurture national pride, especially among younger generations. — VNS
