Việt Nam Electricity (EVN) on Friday launched and inaugurated a series of major power projects in a coordinated nationwide infrastructure push to mark the upcoming 14th National Congress of the Communist Party.
The port city simultaneously launched and inaugurated 13 projects worth nearly VNĐ20 trillion (US$760 million), contributing to infrastructure upgrades, expanded development space and improved living standards.
Initial products are expected to be launched in 2027, making Hoa Phat the first and only producer in Southeast Asia capable of manufacturing these special steel grades domestically.
The plant will use agricultural and forestry by-products as fuel and is expected to supply about 300 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually once it enters commercial operation in early 2028.
