HÀ NỘI — The first Airbus A321neo aircraft of Bamboo Airways, owned by property developer FLC Group, is expected to arrive in Việt Nam on January 10, 2019.
Đặng Tất Thắng, CEO of Bamboo Airways, said this would be one of 10 aircrafts leased to the airline. The aircrafts are equipped with a special interior and outstanding technologies from Airbus – the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer.
The new A3210neo aircraft was leased under a contract with GECAS, a member company of General Electric. After receiving a technical check-up, the aircraft will be delivered to GECAS in Hamburg by the end of this month and painted with the colours of the airline’s brand.
Images of the A321neo’s custom interior for Bamboo Airways were also revealed. Japanese LIFT Design – one of the leading interior brand names in Asia which implemented designs for many big airlines such as AirFrance, Hongkong Airlines and China Airlines – made the design for Bamboo Airways.
The aircraft’s interior will have two main colours of blue and green grey with different materials for economy and business classes.
Seats in the economy class will be made from an exclusive cloth made for Bamboo Airways from Botany Weaving from Ireland, one of the world’s top three linen manufacturers. The cloth meets the strictest reliability and fire resistance standards in the aviation industry.
Seats in business class were made from leather from Lantal – the famous leather seat manufacturer – with quality assurance by Airbus.
Earlier, Bamboo Airways signed an agreement to buy 24 A321neo aircrafts from Airbus and 20 Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners from Beoeing. The two contracts are worth US$8.6 billion. — VNS
