Liberty Insurance, Momo e-wallet join hands to foster insurtech revolution

HCM CITY — Two leading products by Liberty Insurance — cancer insurance CancerCa$h and travel insurance TravelCare — is being distributed on MoMo e-Wallet until the end of this month.

This is a strategic step by both enterprises to combine insurance and technology — called Insurtech — to provide cheaper, faster and simple insurance services to help optimise user experience, Liberty Insurance said in a statement.

By logging in to the MoMo application, users can actively buy and pay for Liberty CancerCa$h and TravelCare insurance quickly, simply and securely, the comany said.

“In 2018, MoMo will focus on developing the Việt Nam’s US$20 billion tourism market. Not only can customers book flights directly on the MoMo application, they can also buy travel and health insurances,” Nguyễn Bá Diệp, vice chairman of MoMo, said.

With the distribution of Liberty TravelCare insurance on MoMo, it will take customers only a minute to buy travel insurance for the trip, Diệp added. — VNS
