NAM - FrieslandCampina Hà Nam on Tuesday was awarded a Second Class Labor Medal from the Government for its contribution to Hà Nam Province’s socio- economic development.

The medal granting ceremony took place on the occasion of 10-year anniversary of the founding of the Dutch dairy company’s Hà Nam branch, which is part of FrieslandCampina Việt Nam.

Nguyễn Xuân Đông, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, praised FrieslandCampina Hà Nam’s dozens of million of US dollars worth of output, labourers’ income and contributions to the State budget over the past 10 years.

He also praised the company’s contributions to the development of the country’s dairy industry and the province’s socio-economic growth. The company has also developed meaningful corporate social responsibility programs in the locality, he said.

Đông said local authorities will continue to create favourable conditions for FrieslandCampina Hà Nam to invest and expand production in the province.

“This year will become a memorable milestone in the history of the development of FrieslandCampina in Việt Nam, not only because of today’s memorable event but also because this year marks the 45th year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Việt Nam and the Netherlands,” FrieslandCampina Việt Nam general director Arnoud van den Berg said.

In 2016, FrieslandCampina Việt Nam was granted the First-Class Labor Medal, which recognises the company’s efforts to develop sustainable business practices; its contributions to economic growth while also focusing on environmental protection and its pioneering social responsibility programs as well creating shared values for the community.- VNS
