HÀ NỘI —Hà Nội Police have launched three digital transformation products and solutions aimed at improving public security and the quality of services for residents.

The products include a wireless fire alarm production line, the Hà Nội Smart Police application being piloted on the iHanoi platform, and a UAV-based security monitoring solution entering its second phase after a period of testing.

Together, the three products are intended to form a more proactive, data-driven digital ecosystem for public security. Hà Nội Smart Police strengthens communication between police and residents, while UAVs support large-scale surveillance, incident detection and field coordination. Wireless fire alarms provide early warnings to households, businesses and construction sites.

The wireless fire alarm system was developed and manufactured by Hà Nội Police in cooperation with the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue, and is expected to help reduce casualties and property damage caused by fires.

The system has undergone quality assessments by competent authorities and received a certificate of conformity from the Authority of Telecommunications under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

It is designed for households, businesses, production facilities and construction sites, and also supports the Ministry of Public Security’s project to develop a fire incident reporting and transmission system.

The devices can detect potential fires and issue early warnings, giving residents more time to evacuate, alert authorities and take initial firefighting measures.

Hà Nội Smart Police was developed by Hà Nội Police in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology.

It is being developed as a mini app on the iHanoi super app, with two sections: one providing services for residents and another for internal police command and operations.

For residents, the app is expected to offer services including reporting incidents and security issues, activating an SOS emergency signal and scheduling appointments with police agencies. Users will also be able to rate service quality and look up police station locations, as well as the phone numbers of local police officers and duty officers.

The app will also provide information on fire prevention and firefighting infrastructure, parking areas and businesses subject to security and public order requirements. Other information will include fire safety violations, traffic conditions, congestion, flooding, accident black spots and road closure warnings.

Residents will also be able to view traffic cameras and access public information and educational content. The app will feature a virtual assistant and an AI chatbot to help users search for information.

The UAV-based security monitoring solution uses unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with cameras and artificial intelligence technology.

The UAVs are designed to monitor urban order, traffic conditions and road safety across large areas. They can identify violations and detect traffic congestion, collisions, fires and unusual smoke. Data is transmitted to the Hà Nội Police Command Information Centre for analysis and operational coordination.

The system is expected to help police detect incidents more quickly and deploy forces to the scene more effectively.

Lieutenant General Nguyễn Thanh Tùng, Director of Hà Nội Police, said the three digital transformation products demonstrated the force’s willingness to innovate and turn new ideas into practical solutions.

He said the initiatives also reflected Hà Nội Police’s commitment to taking the lead in applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation to public security work. — VNS
