HÀ NỘI — The Vietnamese futsal team have left for Malaga, Spai, for a training course with the aim of earning a ticket to the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2020 finals.

During their time in Spain, Việt Nam will meet Real Betis FS on February 27, UMA Antequera on March 3, and Jaen on March 6.

The 16-member team will also play friendly matches with Granada Selection and Sima Peligros on March 1.

After finishing the training session, Tôn Thất Phi, Đặng Anh Tài, Châu Đoàn Phát, Hồ Văn Ý, Nhan Gia Hưng and Chu Văn Tiến will stay on to train with Spanish teams until March 31.

Việt Nam has set a target of securing a ticket to the Southeast Asian Championships 2019 in October, which is also a qualification tournament for the Asian Championship 2020, which is scheduled to take place on October 21-27.

The team will have to enter the top five of the Asian Championships 2020 to earn a ticket to the World Cup. — VNS
