Collins takes the seat that has been abandoned for nearly two months since former coach Kevin Yurkus moved to work with Thailand’s Bangkok Storm.
Collins played for the Hanoi Buffaloes in the 2017 season but managed only eight matches before retiring to become a coach at the age of 37.
