HÀ NỘI — Javier Perez triumphed in the 10th stage of the Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa cycling race in Đà Lạt, Lâm Đồng Province on Thursday.

Perez of Vietnam USA Society English Centres (VUS HCM City) won the 98km stage from coastal Nha Trang City in Khánh Hòa Province to Đà Lạt City in a time of 3:01.43.

Phan Hoàng Thái of Domesco Đồng Tháp Pharmacy and Loic Desriac of Bike Life Đồng Nai finished second and third, respectively.

Perez also took the yellow leader’s jersey from teammate Nguyễn Minh Việt and nabbed the polka dot king of the mountain jersey after conquering the 29km Khánh Lê hill.

Mai Nguyễn Hưng from VUS HCM City took the green sprinter’s jersey from Lê Nguyệt Minh of Minh Giang, while the white jersey for the best young rider is worn by Nguyễn Quốc Bảo of Calytos Đồng Tháp.

Lộc Trời An Giang Group still leads the team rankings with a total time of 107:02.55, followed by Domesco Đồng Tháp Pharmacy and VUS HCM City.

Racers will take on the 11th stage today from Đà Lạt to Bảo Lộc in Lâm Đồng Province, a distance of 97km. — VNS
