HÀ NỘI – Cao Ngọc Hà, a Vietnamese amateur runner, has entered the top 10 of the Asia Trail Master Championship by winning the Việt Nam Jungle Marathon (VJM) held in Pù Luông Nature Reserve in the central province of Thanh Hóa held from May 26-28.

He now has a total of 975 points.

Earlier, Hà of Long Distance Runners team finished third in February’s Ultra Trail Koh Chang in Thailand. It was the first time a Vietnamese runner has reached the podium in this event.

Last year, Hà finished second in the men’s 100km category at the Việt Nam Mountain Marathon (VMM) in Sa Pa District, Lào Cai Province

“If I keep my fitness up, I will stay in the top 10 and maybe enter the top five,” said Hà.

The Vietnamese trail running star is eyeing more progress in three more events this year: the Tam Đảo Mountain Trail later this month in Vĩnh Phúc Province, VMM in Sa Pa in September and Bromo Tengger Semeru 100 Ultra in Indonesia in November.
