World Windsurfing Championship to be held in Hội An

HỘI AN — Nearly 100 competitors from 30 countries and territories will race in the World Windsurfing Championship at An Bàng Beach in Hội An City from June 12 to 15.

The head of the canoeing section of the National Sports Administration, Nguyễn Hải Đường, told Việt Nam News that it’s the first time a world-level windsurfing race has been held in Việt Nam.

On the same occasion, the Việt Nam Open Sailing Boat and the National Canoeing Clubs Championship will take place at Phú Ninh Lake.

The director of the provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism department, Đinh Hài, said An Bàng beach, 5km from Hội An city, is an ideal rendezvous for the beach season ands beach sport activities. — VNS
