HÀ NỘI — Lý Hoàng Nam and Yuichi Ito entered the final of the Singapore F3 Men’s Futures’ tennis tournament yesterday.
The Vietnamese and Japanese pair defeated No 2 duo Justin Barki of Indonesia and Chen Ti of Chinese Taipei 7-5, 6-2 in the semi-final match yesterday.
Their rival will be No 3 pair Francis Casey Alcantara of the Philippines and Sem Verbeek of the Netherlands, who won 6-3, 6-4 over title favourites Sanam Singh and Vijay Sundar Prashanth from India.
Earlier in the morning, No 4 seed Nam advanced to the semi-final of the singles event after winning 6-1, 6-1 over Ito in 70 minutes.
In the final, he will meet No 1 seed Ramanathan Ramkumar of India who beat Marc-Andrea Huesler of Switzerland 6-4, 6-4 in the other semi-final. — VNS
