PHAN THIẾT — The 'Journey of 81 Years – For National Security' race will take place on August 2, attracting around 5,000 runners to coastal routes at NovaWorld Phan Thiết.

The event is among key activities of the Sport Festival 2026, jointly organised by the Việt Nam People’s Public Security Sports Association and NovaWorld. It marks the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Việt Nam People’s Public Security, while promoting fitness and community engagement through sport.

Athletes will compete in four distances: 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km.

The race route runs along the Phan Thiết coastline, with gentle slopes and sections passing through various zones of the NovaWorld complex, offering participants a chance to enjoy early morning sea views and a coastal urban setting.

Organisers expect the event to help boost sports tourism in Phan Thiết. In addition to racing, participants can take part in side activities including local cuisine experiences, beach leisure, fireworks displays and entertainment services within the complex. — OVN/VNS
